Trinity Leeds has appointed a new general manager, David Maddison, who will oversee its development.

Mr Maddison joined Land Securities last month, and he has more than 30 years retail experience including roles at Nike as development manager for European outlets, and most recently, seven years as centre manager at Ashford Designer Outlet in Kent.

As part of his new role, he will lead, direct and support the Trinity Leeds team “to deliver a world class shopping and dining experience”. He will also work closely with the Land Securities retail portfolio team.

Trinity Leeds, which recently marked its second anniversary, has 120 shops, bars, restaurants and a cinema. He is moving from Kent and looking forward to moving to “beautiful Yorkshire” in August, in time for his youngest son Jamie to start secondary school. Commenting on his appointment, he said: “Trinity Leeds has very much been on my radar for the past couple of years having followed its success story since launch, so I am very proud to be joining such a prestigious location. Leeds is such a vibrant and exciting city and together with the great team I’ll be working with I’m very excited about my new role.”
