HERE’S some tasty news for lovers of fast food – American firm Subway has opened a branch at Leeds’s Core shopping centre.

The 807 sq ft unit means the chain can now boast a total of 11 outlets across Leeds.

Its opening also comes as the shopping centre pushes ahead with a multi-million pound refurbishment project.

Nicola Lavelle, property manager at The Core, told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “Strengthening the food and beverage offering at The Core is a key objective for us as we continue to invest into the centre.

“The addition of one of the world’s most popular fast food restaurants, alongside existing independent food outlets such as Yoghies Frozen Yoghurt and Smoothie Bar, is an excellent coup for The Core and will be key to bolstering our offering within Leeds city centre.”
