City firm takes on the German market

A LEEDS shower tray manufacturer is literally cleaning up in Germany.

JT, which produces 5,000 units a week from its plant on Whitehall Industrial Estate in Farnley, has signed a deal to sell its products in the country.

The contract is with Konig, a wholesaler in the upper Rhine region with 16 branches in eight showrooms.

Paul Crossley, managing director of JT, said: "This deal is the result of 12 months of market research and discussions to establish the right partners to deliver our premium products into new export markets. The market in Germany has a strong focus on quality and design."
