Bond says bye to the company

Asda part-time chairman Andy Bond has left his post.

He took on the role in April when he stepped down as chief executive of the Leeds-based supermarket group.

Mr Bond will also leave Walmart, the US retail group that owns the UK supermarket chain.

He said in April that he would be leaving Asda but would remain as part-time chairman for at least six months.

Industry-watchers have suggested that Mr Bond could take on a role in either private equity or another non-executive post.
