supporters from across Leeds will be getting all glammed up for Breast Cancer Haven’s Burlesque Ball next month.
The event, in association with Leeds Burlesque, will launch Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Yorkshire. Guests will be able to enjoy a glass of Prosecco, a three-course meal and performances from talented burlesque dancers.
The performers will include glamourpuss Em Brûlée, Havana Hurricane, who was voted as one of the top 10 UK Burlesque Performers last year, and tattooed temptress Lady Wildflower. When the clock strikes midnight, guests are also get a special surprise to see in Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2017.
The event will be raising funds for The Haven, which provides emotional, physical and practical support to anyone affected by breast cancer.
Manager Debra Horsman, said: “It is so important for events like this to take place, not only to let the local residents of Yorkshire know that Breast Cancer Haven is here to support them or anyone they know affected by breast cancer, but also to help raise funds to enable our services to continue.
“It costs us approximately £1,500 to put one visitor through our programme of support, and to date we have supported over 3,200 people. We are really looking forward to a fabulous evening with our guests and Leeds Burlesque, and hopefully generating more awareness than ever before this October.”
The ball will be held on September 30 at the Met Hotel in Leeds.
Tickets cost £50 from www.breastcancerhaven.org.uk/burlesqueball or 0113 284 7803.
