Building company puts on the pink to support breast cancer awareness

Builders are adding a dash of colour with their clothing at one West Yorkshire site, to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Workers at Barratt Homes Yorkshire West's Ashmeade Park development in Pontefract put on bright pink protective headwear and high visibility jackets for ‘Wear it Pink’ on October 20.

The Wear it Pink campaign raises around £2million during Breast Cancer Awareness Month each year and has made over £30 million since it began in 2002.

Donna Hampton, sales adviser at Ashmeade Park, said: “We’re delighted to show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October. The campaign raises so much money for charity each year, it is fantastic to be involved and the lads really do look quite dashing in pink! We’ll be collecting on site for the rest of the month, so welcome any donations from the local community.”

Ashmeade Park is a collection of two, three and four bedroom homes. Visit http://www.barratthomes.co.uk/.
