Budget: Leeds mum says '˜more should be done to help families like mine'
Mother-of-six Sonya Joseph, who lives in Meanwood, faces daily trips to the hospital because her 19-month-old daughter Mareyah suffers from Edwards’ syndrome, a serious genetic condition which affects her breathing.
However, this means her eldest, Dominic, 16, is left to took after Mareyah’s other siblings.

One problem they have is that Mareyah’s medical equipment is often too big to fit in their car but they cannot benefit from the Motability scheme.
Ms Joseph said she “supposes” the £400m pledged to the NHS for A&E GP services and plans to improve healthcare are good news, but thinks more nurses for Mareyah would make time to spend with her other children.
