Simply send in your favourite photograph of Yorkshire to be in with a chance to win a voucher for White Rose Shopping Centre.

It can be anything - city, countryside or a portrait of people. It just needs to be a picture you have taken that shows the region off at its best.

We will be publishing a selection of pictures in the paper and online but hurry all entries must be in by Wednesday.

The prize includes £50 voucher for White Rose in Leeds.

Francesca Simpson, marketing manager at White Rose, said: “We are delighted to provide a prize for this competition as what could be more Yorkshire than a shopping centre named after the emblem of Yorkshire, the white rose.”

We are also separately calling on readers to nominate their Yorkshire Day heroes - people who do the county proud.

We want to hear about anyone who you think goes over and above and deserves recognition for what they have achieved.

We don’t want to focus on celebrities but ordinary everyday folk whose story you think should be told.

They can be in any field such as sport, education, community or charity to name just a few – anyone whose efforts you think should be highlighted and praised.

Send your picture entries and nominations for Yorkshire Day heroes to [email protected]. Please include your name, address and contact details.

Usual Johnston Press terms and conditions apply.
