Bruce Springsteen’s photographer is to show his Boss prints in Leeds

The photographer who has shadowed Bruce Springsteen around the world is giving an exhibition in Leeds for one night only.

Jo Lopez has photographed The Boss and the E Street Band for the last 16 years.

Mr Lopez, who has also photographed Blondie & Black Sabbath among others, is flying in from his home in America for the ‘one night only’ exhibition of limited edition Bruce Springsteen images on Thursday, June 11 from 6.30pm.

The event is being hosted at the Harley Davidson showroom on Wellington Road Industrial Estate, Wellington Road, Leeds.

It will give collectors and Springsteen fans the chance to view the ‘Man Behind The Man’ exhibition - 12 limited edition prints of Bruce in concerts around the world.

The exhibition was given its name after E Street saxophonist Clarence Clemens witnessed Jo at work. Seeing the photographer trying to capture Bruce’ every move, Clarence labelled Jo ‘The Man Behind the Man’.

These rare and highly collectable Bruce Springsteen prints are limited to just one hundred copies per image. All are signed by Mr Lopez.

It’s the first time he has exhibited his work outside of the USA, which is drawing fans from across Europe.

The exhibition will travels the UK over the next six months, moving from Leeds to Edinburgh and Dublin.

The Off Beat Lounge gallery, near Norwich, has one of the world’s largest collections of rare, limited edition fine art album covers, music-related art and photography.

It is supporting the Teenage Cancer Trust with a donation from the sale of each Springsteen print.
