Bring out your 80s inner-child again in Leeds

The Sneaky Experience has breathed new life into some of my favourite movies over the years, and their summer 2018 calendar features their biggest and most ambitious screenings to date. Kicking off in style at Kirkstall Abbey on June 15 is cult kids classic, The Goonies, as part of their oh-so-retro Pirates & Mermaids season.

Easily one of my top five 80s movies of all-time, I can’t wait to join Chunk, Sloth, Mikey, Data and the rest of the crew when the guys at Sneaky bring this one to life. The experience includes an almighty ‘Shuffle-Off’, treasure hunt challenge, inflatable pirate ship, fortune telling cave and a pirate’s rum shack. I’m already practicing my truffle-shuffle as we speak.

Then comes the biggie, the Little Mermaid continues the aquatic theme in style on the Saturday, which just happens to be my number one film from the Disney back catalogue. I mean who doesn’t love Ariel, my ultimate Disney Princess. There’s fun for all the family when guests will be invited under the sea for seahorse racing, a mermaid tale trail, a sing-a-long session with Tinkerbell, a Sea-Shack Mocktail and Juice Bar (adult drinks also available).

For ladies and lovers 80s antics continue into the night with The Princess Bride.
