Boy, 6, hit by car in Leeds

A six-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after being hit by car in Leeds this morning.

The boy was knocked down by a Skoda Octavia car at about 8.55am near the junction of Woodhouse Street and Christopher Road in Woodhouse.

He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary but his condition is not yet known.

Police closed the roads around Quarry Street and Cross Quarry Street to set up an incident scene.

The roads will remain closed while officers investigate the incident.
