Bookshop, wine bar and new deli to open in Leeds suburb

Three new independent businesses have confirmed plans to open in Chapel Allerton this autumn.

Popular local cheese shop George & Joseph have left their former premises on Regent Street for a larger unit on Harrogate Road.

The cheesemongers have also added a delicatessen counter and a tasting room.

Moving into the vacant unit will be Wayward Wines, a bottle shop and small bar run by the people behind Leeds city centre hang-out The Reliance. Meat and cheese boards will also be available to order - and in a neat twist, the cheese will be supplied by George & Joseph.

They're due to open in October.

The area will also be the location of Leeds's first children's bookshop.

The Little Bookshop caters solely for young bookworms, and will also have an activity space that will host reading sessions and workshops. The new addition will occupy the former St Luke's Cares charity shop on Harrogate Road, and will also open in October.
