Body painting triumph for Leeds student

A talented student took third place in a national body painting contest.

Charlie Gray, who studies Theatrical, Special Effects, Hair and Media Make-up at Leeds City College was entered into the WordSkills competition by her tutors. She was one of 15 students from across the country to make it through to the regional heat.

Entrants were required to put their skills to the test with a ‘Cirque Du Solei’ theme and were only allowed 10 per cent of the body to be covered in costume.

Charlie’s winning submission consisted of a colourful green lizard head section, utilising prosthetics to create a reptile nose, brow features and pointed ears.
