To mark the launch of high speed connectivity for 1,500 businesses in Leeds city centre, Virgin Media Business today unveiled a unique billboard on York Road giving Leeds residents a taste of life in the fast lane. Using a motion-blurred backdrop and a unique set of props, passing pedestrians appeared to be travelling at hyper speed. Virgin Media Business announced that businesses located within the citys bustling Civic, Cultural and Financial Quarters are all set to receive equal upload and download broadband speeds of 100Mbps, offering a boost to the local economy and businesses.

Leeds is the fourth major city identified by the firm to benefit from equal upload and download speeds of up to 100 megabytes per second.

Once the ultrafast fibre is installed directly into the 125 city centre premises, each small business will get their own dedicated internet connection, according to the company.

Similar packages have already been launched in London’s Tech City, Manchester’s Northern Quarter and Birmingham Jewellery Quarter.
