A MOTORCYCLIST has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a collision with a car during this morning’s rush hour in Leeds.

The woman in her 30s was taken to Leeds General Infirmary following the crash at the junction of Wetherby Road and Carr Lane, near Shadwell, just before 8am.

She is said to have suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries and was conscious and breathing when she was taken to hospital. No-one else was injured.

Roads around the area of the crash were closed off by West Yorkshire Police and traffic delays were expected this morning as a result.
