singer and Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon will support music megastar Pharrell Williams at Leeds Arena on Friday, it has been announced today.
It’s not the first time the multi-talented mum has teamed up with the chart-topping US record-producer – in 2004 she starred in the video for “She Wants To Move” by N.E.R.D – the hip-hop act then fronted by the “Happy” singer.
Pharell’s performance in Leeds will be his first UK arena show since his recent sold-out UK tour that saw him captivate crowds at Manchester’s MEN Arena and London’s O2 arena.
Just before 5pm today Alesha tweeted her 845,000 Twitter followers: “‘Happy’ to be supporting @i_am_other this Friday in Leeds!!! #luckylady.”
The stunning singer has starred on the panel of ITV’s BGT for four years and helped the show regularly top 11m viewers this series.
The bubbly popstar, who found fame with girl band Mis-Teeq in 2000, now has her own record label and recently showcased new single The Way We Are on BGT.
She won the fifth series of BBC hit Strictly Come Dancing in 2007 and went on to replace Arlene Phillips on the judging panel from the seventh series.
The 36-year-old quit the show just three series later to join BGT.
