“Crime figures in Leeds are down year-on-year and that is, in part, down to businesses and organisations working together to alert others about incidents and known offenders operating in their area.

“I would also like to add how delighted we are to raise such a fantastic sum of money for the St Vincent’s Support Centre.

“They are a fantastic charity that does so much great work in and around Leeds to help people escape the poverty trap.”

The winners were: Best Day Time Security Team – Trinity Shopping Centre; Best Night Time Security – Yates’s; Best National Chain Retailer – Boots; Best Independent Retailer – Accent; Best National Chain Bar – 02 Academy; Best Independent Bar – Fibre; Outstanding Contribution to Leeds – Jon Hancock.
