Aussie heartthrob's the new neigh-bour in Emmerdale

ANOTHER Australian soap star is set to follow in the footsteps of Emily Symons and Anne Charleston by bringing a blast of sunshine into Emmerdale.

Former Neighbours and Home and Away star Richard Grieve will play gay farrier Jonny Foster, who catches the eye of married bisexual Grayson Sinclair (Christopher Villiers).

The hunky Australian starts working at Butler's Farm but is soon causing trouble in the village, especially when Grayson's wife Perdy (Georgia Slowe) becomes suspicious.

Actor Richard, 36, first graced our screens as mechanic Sam Kratz in Neighbours, before heading to Home and Away where he was GP Dr Lachlan Fraser.

His character will be welcome company for fellow ex-pat Louise Appleton, played by former Home and Away star Emily Symons, who is currently appearing in ITV1's Dancing on Ice.

Richard is also following in the footsteps of Anne Charleston, who played Madge Bishop in Neighbours and appeared in Emmerdale last year as Edna Birch's long lost sister Lily.
