A modelling contest with a twist is returning to Leeds tomorrow as part of a nationwide search to find the UK’s most bizarre people.
Founded in 2011, the Alternative Model of the Year competition aims to question mainstream views on beauty, attracting the most unusual styles from across the world.
Body modifications, piercings, tattoos, crazy hairstyles and outrageous clothes have all been featured in previous years.
Competitors will be put to the test in a series of photo-shoot challenges.
Participants are in with the chance of winning prizes including a model agency contract, as well as being selected for a spectacular catwalk later this year.
In 2016 it attracted hopefuls from as far as Mexico and Taiwan.
Auditions are being held at Yorkshire Dance Studio on St Peter’s Square from 1pm tomorrow.
