Arson attack at former medical centre in Armley
ARSONISTS are suspected to have started a fire in a former medical centre in Armley this morning.
Two crews from Leeds Fire Station were called just after 3.30am today (Tues Feb 20) to reports of a blaze at the derelict former medical centre at the junction of Theaker Lane and Town Street at Armley.
Firefighter Gavin Hampson said: "The building is in a poor state of repair, there are holes in the roof. Rubbish had been set of fire inside it (the building.)"
Firefighter Hampson said no damage was caused to the two storey building.
Fire crews were at the scene for more than an hour.
