Detectives have arrested two men after a serious sexual assault on a 22-year-old woman after she was given a lift home from Leeds city centre in the early hours of yesterday.

The men, aged 22 and 30, have been arrested on suspicion of rape and kidnap and are currently in custody.

Detective Inspector Phil Jackson, of Leeds District CID, said: “The appeal that we circulated last night received a significant response from the public and we are grateful to everyone who contacted us with information.”
