West Yorkshire Police said officers had arrived at the scene after the fight had taken place but said there was still a large group of people in the area.

When officers got there it is believed a brick was hurled at their car.

An eyewitness told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “We came up the road and there were people all over, all fighting. We didn’t want to get involved so we had to turn around. It was very frightening.”

It is believed those involved had been at a wake following a funeral.

One man was arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm and one on suspicion of obstructing police.
