Armed police called to reports of assault with weapon at home in Leeds

Armed police were called to a home in Leeds after reports of an assault involving a weapon.

The alleged assault took place in Stainbeck Avenue, Meanwood, today (Saturday).

Police, including armed officers, arrived at the scene at around 11.30am.

But the only person present at the address was the caller, who was not hurt.

A police spokeswoman said enquiries into the circumstances of the call were ongoing.
