Record numbers of people attended an annual apprenticeship fair in Leeds this week.
There were close to 6,000 people at the Leeds Apprenticeship Fair at the First Direct Arena on Monday night, which saw 130 employers attend the event offering over 100 live vacancies in sectors from finance, health, retail and leisure.
It was the fifth fair, which is backed by Leeds BID, and amongst employers who attended were Jaguar Land Rover, the NHS, Leeds City Council, Marriott Hotel and Jet2.com.
Scott Austin, a recruitment executive from 3aaa, one of the employers at the event said:
“The apprenticeship fair was the biggest and best event I have attended since joining 3aaa, and it was great to see so many people attending the event and also get the chance to speak to so many people on the night.”
