Appeal for information after 12-year-old Wakefield schoolgirl goes missing

Police have issued an appeal for information about a missing Wakefield schoolgirl.

Lois Elliott, 12, lives in Royston, Barnsley, but goes to school in the Kettlethorpe area of Wakefield.

She was last seen getting on a train from Wakefield to Leeds yesterday with the intention of travelling to Liverpool, where she is originally from.

Lois was wearing a black jacket, crop top and leggings with fluorescent pink trainers.

She is 5ft 2in tall and of slim build with red-tinged long dark hair and has a strong Liverpudlian accident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact South Yorkshire Police on the force’s 101 phone number, quoting incident reference 384 of November 23.
