Appeal to find 'distressed' woman who lost her dog on Wetherby Racecourse

Police have launched an appeal to find a woman in her 70s who lost her dog in Leeds.

A man called police after speaking to the woman at the Wetherby Racecourse car park at 3.30pm on Wednesday.

The woman was distressed after losing her black dog.

The man offered to help find her dog, but when he returned to the car park the woman had disappeared.

West Yorkshire Police would like to find the woman to ensure she is safe and well.

The woman is described as a white female in her 70s wearing a pink/purple jacket.

Anyone who may have seen her is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log 1430 of January 20.
