Appeal after cyclist injured in Leeds collision

A cyclist suffered serious injuries following a collision in Otley.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident on Askwith Moor Road near the junction of Low Snowdon, Otley.

The cyclist, who is a man in his forties from Harrogate, suffered serious injuries following the collision which occurred at around 1.20pm on Tuesday.

Traffic constable Mark Brook, of North Yorkshire Police’s Road Policing Group, said: “If you saw the incident - or the cycle involved prior to the collision - I urge you to come forward as you may have important information that could assist the investigation.

“In particular I would like to appeal to the female of a green Land Rover that stopped at the scene.”
