Home to more than its fair share of fascinating artefacts, Harewood House is an Aladdin’s cave for antique lovers at any time.

This weekend, however, the stately home holds particular appeal for anyone with an eye for the exotic, unusual and invaluable as it hosts a three-day Antiques and Fine Art Fair.

Pieces from across the globe include a rare pre-Russian Revolution sapphire and diamond bracelet, valued at £3.500, and a large star sapphire and diamond ‘egg’ pendant, made in St Petersburg between 1908 and 1917, worth £9,500.

The fair finishes on Sunday, Septwmber 13.
