Hunslet have slipped to ninth in the table and have a tough challenge against second-placed Myton Warriors.

“Given our poor run of form and the absence of key players, we can only hope for a surprise win,” said spokeswoman Pam Crosby.

Hunslet will have to cope without stand-off and kicker Jordan Gale and prop Johnny Dawson, who are both unavailable.

The good news is the expected return of forward Darrell Forster, who has been one of Warriors’ stand-out players this year.

Easts are two places further down the ladder and face the team immediately below them, Ince Rose Bridge.

The Leeds outfit will be boosted by the return from work commitments of Lee Fisher and Ben Walkin and Nathan Conroy is available after injury.

“It’s a very, very important game,” acknowledged club spokesman Malcolm Waite. “If we lose it is going to be really tough to stay up. It is going to be tough anyway, but this is one we need to win.”

Also in Division One, Oulton Raiders are at home to neighbours Milford Marlins.

In Division Two, Stanningley play host to Saddleworth Rangers and Hunslet Club Parkside are at home to Leigh East.
