Alton Towers giveaway: Did you find a golden ticket in Leeds?

Large golden tickets with a range of exciting prizes, including short break holidays, entrance tickets, waterpark tickets and Extraordinary Golf experience, were placed in several locations across the city by Alton Towers Resort for people to find during Friday.

The gesture is part of the Resort’s ‘Towers Tastic’ aim to make Britain happy this summer.

The initiative has already seen hundreds of fantastic prizes given to unsuspecting guests visiting the Staffordshire Resort.

To date, they have included tickets to a free meal in the UK’s first Rollercoaster Restaurant and fast-track tickets for an out-of-world experience aboard Galactica, the World’s first fully dedicated virtual reality roller-coaster that takes passengers into space, plus much more.

The giveaways are set to continue throughout summer.

Gill Riley, Director of Marketing at Alton Towers Resort, said: “The British weather means you can never quite guarantee sunshine, so we wanted to spread some happiness to the people of Leeds by giving away prizes that will help ensure some summer happiness whatever the weather.

“Our dedicated staff have been out and about placing the golden tickets in top secret locations, so we would urge members of the public to keep their eyes peeled during their commute to work and whilst and about in the area.

“Each golden tickets details a truly fantastic prize and we can’t wait to have the winners join us at Alton Towers Resort over the summer.”
