Ales on offer as Leeds rotary club hosts beer festival

Excitement was frothing as a Leeds club hosted an annual festival to raise money for worthy causes.

The Rotary Club of Roundhay held its seventh beer-themed event in aid of charity at the North Leeds Cricket Club this weekend.

Running across two days on Friday and Saturday, the cricket club, in Old Park Road, also showcased a range of gins this year in addition to its ale offerings.

Some 35 different beers were on the pumps, from seven different breweries, including Wilde Child and Kirkstall breweries.

All cash raised will be donated to charity, and the club is this year supporting a repair project at St Aidan’s Church, in Roundhay Road.
