Forget the GHDs, you will be sure to turn heads over the party season with this ultimate Christmas hairstyle.

Following a surge in enquiries from customers for unusual party styles, the team at the recently opened Masters of Craft salon on Blenheim Terrace came up with this hair-raising concept of creating a Christmas Tree hairdo, taking inspiration from origami to create a twist, literally, on the classic tree shape.

To create the look hair extensions are coloured in various shades of green to create a textured look, before being backcombed, pressed with irons and shaped.

They were then attached to a polystyrene cone placed on the model’s head and battery-operated lights and a star were added to complete the look without actually damaging the person’s real hair.

Heather Baker, manager of Masters of Craft and creator of the style, said: “We’ve had loads of customers asking for unusual festive styles this year, so we decided to create a real show-stopper – a fun seasonal take on the classic up-do, with all the Christmas trimmings.”

The Christmas tree style is now on the salon’s seasonal menu and starts at £50.
