For many, there are few things in life that bring as much joy as a plate full of food - especially if that plate is piled high with cheese.

If you know your bries from your blues, you need to pay one of these Leeds establishments a visit – they’re a cheese lover’s dream.

Friends of Ham

As well as a delicious menu of top quality meats, Friends of Ham have also gathered some of the finest cheeses around – allowing you to create the perfect combo plate.

From sweet and tangy Old Winchester and Stichelton, to creamy Gorgonzola Dolce and the classic Brie de Meaux, there are plenty of flavours to choose from.

Try the Courtyard Dairy Cheeseboard for something extra indulgent, paired with a glass of wine.

Almost Famous

Their juicy burgers may be the star of menu, but it’s the wonderfully cheesy toppings that really make the meal.

As well as their loaded burgers, Almost Famous’s deep fried mac ‘n’ cheese balls are too good to say no to.

The Phok-Meat burger with deep fried halloumi tossed in Pho-King sauce is perfect for veggies who still want a piece of the action.

Meat Liquor

As the name suggests, meat and liquor are the name of the game at this delicious eatery – but they’re also pretty good with cheese too.

The cheddar and Hobo beer dip (served with blue corn tortilla chips) makes a deliciously satisfying starter, and their cheese and chilli smothered fries are the perfect accompaniment to one of their succulent burgers or chicken dishes.

Red’s True Barbecue

Red’s may be known for its mouth-watering meats and barbecue sauces, but there are some other hidden gems on their meaty menu.

The crispy halloumi fries, deep fried mac ‘n’ cheese balls and smoked caulibombs are great appetiser options for cheese lovers.

For a satisfying side, try their loaded fries topped with an assortment of cheeses, onions and jalapenos.
