Police have this evening introduced a 48-hour dispersal order in a South Yorkshire town centre.

The Section 35 dispersal order was introduced in Wath-upon-Dearne town centre, and means specific individuals targeted by police will not be able to legally return to the area.

The order aims to crack down on anti-social behaviour, and punishments for breaching the order range from a fine to a three-month prison sentence.
