Jet 2 have announced three new direct flights from Leeds Bradford Airport to popular sun destinations.

Flights to Santorini and Skiathos in Greece, as well as to Lisbon in Portugal, will start flying in 2021.

The Leeds-based company will be flying to over 51 destinations during summer 2021, with 225 weekly flights during peak periods.

Holidays in the 'Summer 21' programme has been put on sale earlier than usual to allow families to book early.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said that this is to give people something to "look forward too."

Mr Heapy said: "We have put our Summer 21 programme on sale earlier than ever, giving customers and independent travel agents the chance to book early.

"We know there is lots of demand for some much-needed summer sunshine following recent events, and this programme of award-winning flights and ATOL protected holidays provides plenty of choice and lots for customers to look forward to.

Jet2 flights are currently cancelled until mid-June due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Customers are expected to be given a full refund within 14 days without needing to contact the airline if their flight is before this date.
