Leeds property news: New Redrow homes win national award

NEW Redrow homes in north west Leeds have been Highly Commended in a prestigious national award scheme.

Transformation of the former Clariant Works site in Horsforth to create two new housing developments collectively known as Horsforth Vale was a winner in the ‘Residential Development’ category of the UK Property Awards.

Horsforth Vale was one of five Redrow schemes to scoop several prizes at the gala awards ceremony in London; the company’s consumer website www.redrow.co.uk was also named the UK’s best developer website.

The Horsforth schemes is made up of two developments, The Green and The Limes, which between them will eventually comprise 330 two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, open space and two small retail units.

The homes are from Redrow’s traditional looking, Arts & Crafts influenced Heritage Collection, with properties fronting Calverley Lane constructed in natural stone and slate to complement older stone properties in the vicinity. The development, is largely surrounded by greenbelt land comprising open fields and mature vegetation, the River Aire and Leeds-Liverpool Canal.
