A Yorkshire builder is doing its bit to support our troops in Afghanistan by offering them huge discounts on new homes.

Barratt Yorkshire West is offering discounts to military servicemen and women when they buy a new home and they are worth thousand of pounds.

For every £25,000 or part thereof on the cost of the property, Barratt has agreed to knock off £1,000. For a house worth £250,000, that could mean a reduction of £10,000.

Sam Wood, Sales Director for Barratt Yorkshire West, comments, “As a company, we have over the years helped many people who have served in the Armed Forces move into a great new home.”

“With the discount we offer to the military we hope we can help many more of these courageous men and women save money when they buy a property.

“Our staff are strongly supportive of the work our troops do in unimaginably hostile war-zones such as Afghanistan. In our own very small way, we hope that this offer shows that we’re backing our words with actions.

“Anyone who has served in the army, navy or RAF could receive thousands of pounds off the cost of a property thanks to Barratt Yorkshire Wests’ Armed Forces Discount Scheme.

Servicemen and women receive a £1,000 discount for every £25,000 or part thereof on the cost of the property. This would work out as £10,000 off the cost of a £250,000 home.”

The scheme was launched to co-incide with June 29 – National Armed Forces Day – however the scheme is run all year round.
