AN EAGERLY anticipated new homes development in Rothwell is generating such high levels of interest from potential buyers that the first homes will now be available to reserve from mid-September.
The redevelopment of the former Rothwell Primary and Nursery School on Carlton Lane, into 14 stunning two to five bedroom homes, is being carried out by Leeds based Advent Developments. Dozens of potential buyers have already registered their interest in the development, known as Carlton Green, which is being marketed by Rothwell estate agent, Your Move.
The first homes will be available to reserve from 17th September 2015 at an information evening at Your Move’s office on Commercial Street in Rothwell. A selection of two, three and four bedroom homes will form the first release with prices starting at £195,000. A £500 reservation fee is required to secure a property and each one will be available on a first come, first served basis.
Tim Reeve of Advent Developments says: “This former school building has been a much loved Rothwell landmark since 1879 so it’s full of wonderful history. Since starting work on the conversion we have been inundated with positive feedback from local residents and former pupils. We’ve also received lots of enquiries from potential buyers looking for a standout and truly unique home close to the centre of Rothwell. As a result we’ve decided to launch the first release of homes now, so buyers can reserve a property off-plan and move straight in when work completes at the end of the year.”
Irene Scurrah from Your Move adds: “Rothwell’s superb range of local amenities, established community and easy access to both Leeds and Wakefield city centres, make the town very appealing to homebuyers. In addition the ongoing economic recovery and continued low interest rates mean there’s a lot of confidence in the local market at the moment.
“When this is combined with the unique design and high specification on offer at Carlton Green it makes this a fantastic opportunity to buy a very special home in an extremely popular area so it’s unlikely these initial homes will be available for long.
“Each home at Carlton Green is being sympathetically designed to maximise the Grade II listed building’s original character and will be finished to an exceptional standard. Features include tall windows giving superb natural light, exposed stone details, original timber trusses and really spacious rooms that create exceptional living spaces.”
Homebuyers can register their interest and find out more about the development at www.carltongreen.co.uk or by calling Your Move on 07837 116 469.
Advent Developments has a strong reputation for transforming heritage buildings into high quality residential schemes. The company recently created 38 homes in York that included the conversion of a former Victorian school, which has just been named the region’s best residential development at the 2015 Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Pro Yorkshire Awards.
The company is also due to start work on an £8 million new homes development, known as Greenhill Fold, that will see a former school in Upper Wortley transformed into a village development consisting of 49 high quality homes.
