Praise from your peers is often the best kind to receive, which is why the Yorkshire division of national homebuilder, Bellway was delighted when local homebuilder, Andy Kernahan decided to make its Scalebor Grange development in Burley-in-Wharfedale his family’s new home.

Andy, who owns Ilkley-based Kernahan Building Contractors Ltd said: “Bellway launched Scalebor at a time when we were considering moving house and on paper it looked like a great little development, in a fantastic location and, because we only lived a couple of miles away in Ilkley, it meant we wouldn’t be moving far – but being a housebuilder by trade I needed to see with my own eyes what Bellway were doing in order to be convinced.”

“When I did I was absolutely blown away. The style of the building was superb, the quality of work excellent and it wasn’t long before I realised that Bellway and Scalebor Grange ticked every single box – both in terms of wanting to live there and me being won over by the sheer quality of the build.”

The Kernahan’s bought a four bedroom semi-detached, Linton, which offers spacious living accommodation over three floors and features a separate, detached garage. Anyone hoping to follow the Kernahan’s lead will need to act quickly, as only one Linton remains at Scalebor Grange and is available for £379,995. There are though a selection of four bedroom mid-terrace, end terrace and semi-detached Keswick’s available starting at £334,995, while the remaining detached homes start at £409,995.
