Oktoberfest will offer thousands of revellers the chance to enjoy four days of Bavarian food, bier and music.

The festival will be held at The Tetley, in a 2,000 capacity German big top tent, which will be transformed into a traditional Oktoberfest arena - hosting various bars, traditional food stalls and a stage.

Matt Long, event organiser, said, “Although the city already has lots of existing Oktoberfest celebrations we felt that Leeds was missing a large scale version of the event to really give people a full, authentic Oktoberfest experience. The Tetley site also provides us with a perfect spot to host it, given its long brewery history and with it being in the heart of the city centre.

“We’re very excited to be celebrating a real taste of traditional German food, drink and music this October and we’re already looking forward to seeing 2,000 people in our big top tent having a great time.”

Visitors will be able to enjoy a range of traditional German beer - including Erdinger and a haus bier served in exclusively-branded Oktoberfest Leeds steins - German wine and soft drinks as well as traditional Bavarian cuisine such as Bratwurst, Brezel, Schnitzel and Hendl and some vegetarian options.

The event will run from Thursday, October 6 to Sunday, October 9. Tickets start at £8 plus booking fee or £30 for VIP.
