Stunning Leeds property featured on BBC One's The Syndicate on the market for £1.3million

A stunning north Leeds property which featured on BBC One's The Syndicate is up for sale.

Green Meadows, in the sought-after village of Eccup, had a starring role in the fourth series of Kay Mellor's hit drama.

The detached property was the location of the fictional Woodvale Kennels in the series, which stared the Leeds writer's own daughter Gaynor Faye, as well as other famous faces such as Neil Morrissey, Emily Head, Kym Marsh and Joe Sugg.

In the show, the storyline revolved around members of a lottery syndicate who worked at the kennels.

The kennels was about to be sold, putting all of their jobs at risk.

However, their fortunes changed when they scooped £27million on the lottery - but things were not going to be that easy.

The winning ticket was then stolen by the unscrupulous newsagent who sold them the ticket.

Thankfully, by the end of the six episode series, the group had recouped their winnings, and the syndicate decided to safeguard their jobs and the pets they cared for, by buying Woodvale Kennels themselves.

The Eccup Lane property is now on the market for £1.395,000 with Leeds estate agent, Adair Paxton.

Adair Paxton director, Nicola Thompson, said: “This property has been made famous by The Syndicate and it turns out the storyline about it being put up for sale has come true.

“The property has been very well maintained and the grounds are immaculate.

"It’s certainly a rare opportunity and there is no onward chain, so it will appeal to buyers looking for a home or business in a quiet location, with far-reaching views and five and a half acres of land, which could accommodate equestrian facilities subject to planning.

“It’s also ideally located in a sought-after part of North Leeds, between Bramhope and Alwoodley, and just a short drive from both Leeds Bradford Airport and Leeds city centre.”

Kay Mellor's The Syndicate first aided in 2012. The first season was set in a supermarket in Leeds, the second in a hospital in Bradford and the third in a stately home near Scarborough.
