Nick and Paula Bennett watched their house progress from the first brick being laid to the last slate placed on the roof, at Taylor Wimpey’s Pipers Green development, in Crigglestone, Wakefield.

Nick, a senior business analyst and his wife, Paula, a senior administrator at a nearby primary school, along with their two children, Vicki, 20 and Tom, 17, waited just six months before moving into their dream home.

Along the way they chose the fixtures and fittings that enabled them to really make the house unique to them from the moment they walked through their front door for the first time.

Paula said: “We’ve been living in Wakefield for 21 years, and when we knew we were ready to move into a new home, Pipers Green immediately stood out to us. After reserving our plot, the site manager let us visit the development throughout the build so we could watch the progress of our future home.”

The Bennetts reserved their spacious five-bedroom detached Wilton-style home in April, and were moved in for the middle of October. Paula added: “Reserving our home at initial stages allowed for a lot of flexibility and the team have been fantastic in accommodating any additions we wanted including in the house, such as extra plug sockets and switches.

“Thanks to the Easymover scheme, our previous home was sold within a month. Taylor Wimpey organised the evaluation and liaised with the estate agents on our behalf.”
