The estate agent’s Garforth branch sponsored the new strip for children at Ninelands Primary School.

Paul Simpson, assistant headteacher and PE co-ordinator, said: ‘The children said they were absolutely made up when the kit arrived and we can’t thank Manning Stainton enough for making this possible.”

The firm, which opened in the town 18 months ago, also supported the school’s annual summer fair, which is organised by Friends of Ninelands (FON), by donating a Samsung Galaxy tablet as a raffle prize and by funding the hire of a bucking bronco for children and visitors to enjoy.

Proceeds from the fair - which raises around £8,000 annually - will be used to buy outdoor equipment and to make improvements to the school’s allotment.

Headteacher Jillian Sabourn, said: “The FON works tirelessly to raise funds for all those extra things which would not otherwise be possible within our budget such as a PA system and additional classroom resources, all of which enhance learning. They also cover the cost of special treats and rewards for pupils. Our task is made slightly easier with the help of community spirited companies like Manning Stainton.”

Manning Stainton has also purchased a new kit for Garforth Sports and Social FC.

Steve Riley, branch manager, said: ‘We are really keen to get involved with schools, clubs and other youth organisations in the local community which all do such a commendable job.”

The Garforth branch is open seven days a week. Visit www.manningstainton.co.uk for more information.
