Strata will build a collection of 128 homes at Ambition, located opposite Easterly Road, close to Roundhay. It is the second Leeds development for the homebuilder, following the success of Flaunt on Wellington Road, close to the city centre.

Homes at Ambition will include two, three and four bedroom semi-detached and detached properties. The homes are available to buy off plan from Flaunt until a sales complex opens at Ambition in October.

Ambition is four miles east of the centre of Leeds, with Roundhay Park just a short walk away. The development is targeted at first and second-time buyers, with many of the homes available through the government’s Help to Buy scheme.

Andrew Weaver, Strata’s Chief Executive, said: “Leeds has a very buoyant housing market and we expect Ambition to follow in the footsteps of our Flaunt development in the city centre. We’re looking forward to delivering another quality scheme that will raise the profile of the Seacroft area, while encouraging commuters to an important gateway into Leeds.”

Strata acquired the brownfield site in January, following a tender process through Leeds City Council.

Councillor Richard Lewis, Executive Member for Regeneration, Transport and Planning, said: “We are very pleased work is now starting on the Asket Drive development. This scheme is an example of our commitment to releasing council-owned land in a planned, appropriate and co-ordinated way in order to provide important new housing in Leeds, with a clear focus on redeveloping brownfield land first. We look forward to following this development as it progresses.”
