Bellway: Family settles into their perfect Leeds home

Pawel and Malgorzata were won over by the city after first moving from Cracow, Poland, and have now decided that Parkside would be the perfect place to settle down. They have now moved into a three bedroom semi-detached Thorpe property with their children Julia, six, and Mateusz, three.

Malgorzata said: “Pawel and I decided that it was time for a change in our lives after my cousin moved to Leeds in 2006. We were so impressed by everything we heard about it that we made all the necessary arrangements, packed up our lives and set out for West Yorkshire.

“When we first arrived we lived in rented accommodation while we settled down and decided where we wanted to live, and when Bellway announced its Parkside development we knew it was the place for us.

“It had three bedroom homes at affordable prices near to the primary school our daughter attends and the nursery our son will start going to in September.”

The family benefitted from the government’s Help to Buy (HTB) scheme, which enabled them to make the purchase with just a five per cent deposit.

Malgorzata added: “Help to Buy was a great help, as it allowed us to buy our dream home without too large a deposit, which meant we could buy our very first home in the UK with ease.”
