Rooftop vibes over Leeds at East Parade Social

East Parade Social

I’m spoilt for choice when it comes to post-work watering holes near our office at Wizu Workspace, and East Parade Social has officially become another new regular haunt for me and the Pink Gorilla gang.

Boasting a rooftop terrace with one of the best city views including the Leeds Town Hall, a secret garden and a downstairs bar that’s a perfect addition to the area, it’s a great place to hang out and is unlike anything else nearby. I hit them up for a spot of lunch this week, and was impressed with the small but well put together food menu.

If you’re a craft ale aficionado, then you’re in luck here, as they specialise in the best local and international brews from the likes of Northern Monk and Beavertown. However, given the chilly weather, we opted to sip some spicy mulled wine as we waited on our food.

I went with the Reuben from the sandwich menu, which is a tasty pretzel baguette loaded with pastrami, emmental cheese, pickles and mustard. As Debs wasn’t around to monitor his diet, Maveer opted for the Chorizo Flatbread with cheddar, jalapenos and rocket.

We also shared a couple of dishes from the small plate’s menu, with kudos going to the Halloumi. Accompanied with harissa hummus, roasted red pepper, and green chilli sauce, the dish was all the better for the rosemary spinata bread. Incredible.

If you’ve not been, do check these guys out as it’s also a great place to work from or have meetings as it offers something fresh to the usual surrounding coffee shops.
