The location of every Yorkshire Starbucks reopening from today
Nine Starbucks stores across Yorkshire have reopened today (Thursday, May 14).
The nine outlets, which include two in Leeds, are among 150 to reopen across Britain.
Many of the Yorkshire stores are drive-thru only for now.
Others have reopened for takeaway only with handwashing, cleaning and social distancing measures in place and plexi glass screens to keep staff and customers safe.
There will be contactless payment only and all drinks will be served in paper cups.
Nearly all stores will be serving the full drinks menu, but only the most popular food items will be sold.
Starbucks stores across the country are also offering any Tall drink for free for NHS staff.
Alex Rayner, general manager of Starbucks UK, said: “We are proud to be back serving our communities with the phased reopening of our stores, starting with Drive-Thru and a handful of stores for takeaway only.
"Although our stores will look and feel a bit different with social distancing measures, plexi glass screens and upweighted cleaning procedures in place, the role coffee plays in creating connection and community hasn’t changed.
"Now, more than ever, having something familiar is incredibly important.”
