Home brew? Fancy this in your front room?

An independent craft brewery is offering to take home brews to another level for its Leeds beer fans.

BrewDog, which has two bars in Leeds, will install a fully functional craft beer bar in the home of investors who put more than £50,000 into its crowd-funding platform Equity for Punks V.

The bar will be designed in BrewDog’s signature industrial style, complete with three-tap bar, fully stocked beer fridge and a keg of its headliner beer, Punk IPA to toast the launch of their at-home bar.

Having raised £61.2m from previous rounds of its Equity Punk crowd-funding platform, the latest round started with a target of raising £10m - and made it within three months so extended it to £50m with a series of perks for contributors.

Funds from this latest round will be used to construct new breweries in Australia and Asia, open 15 craft beer bars around the world, increase capacity of its UK brewery and create a craft beer digital TV network.

BrewDog co-founder, James Watt, said: “Having your own craft beer bar at home is the ultimate dream for many beer fans, so we wanted to give people the chance to turn that beer-fuelled ideal into a reality.

“Our army of punk investors is the antithesis to your typical company board, so we knew we had to reward them in a unique way.

“BrewDog’s growth would never have been possible without our dedicated Equity Punks who are the lifeblood of our business.”

BrewDog currently employs more than 800 people worldwide, with 56 craft beer bars across the world and two world-class breweries in Ellon, Scotland, and Columbus, Ohio.
