Inspiring speakers revealed ahead of North Leeds Food Festival
An exciting line-up of speakers have been revealed for North Leeds Food Festival's interactive talks event in two week's time.
The popular food festival will return to Roundhay Park on 30 June to 1 July and will showcase a huge selection of the region's best talent in food, drink and performing arts.
New for this year, the festival is hosting a Live Taks Marquee which will serve as an area for festival attendees to engage with speakers on a range of subjects, including food, nutrition and wellbeing.
“We have selected the speakers based on three core principles at the festival - great food, local business and mental health," explains Michael Johnston, festival director.
"Each of the speakers fit into at least one of these core principles and many fit into all of them."

Other speakers include Simon Chappelow of Leeds Cookery School, who will perform a demo and talk through the work of Leeds Cookery School, and Leeds based community charity Zest Health for Life.
International chef and head of Slow Food Chef Alliance, Jason Hartley, is speaking on both days of the festival and will explore the contrasts between social deprivation in the North of England, and the phenomenal farmers and producers located here.
“We are thrilled with this new addition for the 2018 festival," Johnston adds.
"The Live Talks area allows food and wellbeing enthusiasts to engage with industry pioneers on important subjects, and it certainly adds a new dimension to the festival."
Other speakers at the festival include Lucy Barrow, of Mix & Twist, Helen Ince and Angela Sykes, of Yoga Kula, Linda Sage, of Linda Sage Mentoring, Billy Collins, of Honest Edibles, and Antonia George, of Osteopath.
