The pub - just one mile from the M62 - has five bedrooms on the first floor and a car park to the rear.

Planning consent was granted on April 24, 2019 for demolition of the existing property and construction of a residential development.

The existing property which requires extensive refurbishment may also suit alternative use subject to obtaining the necessary consents, the listing on Pugh Auctions said.

The auction ends at 12.50pm on June 2.

Viewings can now be arranged following a change in lockdown restrictions.
